Burning Man, the annual festival located in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert, officially kicked off on August 28 and will run until September 5. For this edition of Burning Man the artist collective Big Imagination Foundation raised over $86,000 to convert a Boeing 747 jet into the biggest art car in the history of the festival. The plane was gutted, reconstructed, extended, and reinforced; the team also refurbished the cockpit and installed new staircases. After that it was transported to Nevada, where it will serve as a music, art and live performance venue at Burning Man.
